I've built my new system this morning, but I don't have my ram yet. So I just installed the rest (cpu, vidcard, harddrive, dvd, floppy...), but only the necessary (no sound card, network card) I know it shouldn't boot, since there's no memory, but just to check that everything was working, I powered it up. My problem is that evrything seems fine, hard drive spins up, dvd opens, etc., but I don't hear any beeps telling me there's no ram, like it says in the mobo book. I've tried plugging in the system speaker both ways, but nothing. Of course it doesn't boot and I don't get any video, that's what I thought it would do, but is it normal that I don't get these beeps? Here are my specs:

Aopen HX45A 250W p/s
Asus K7V (on-board sound disabled)
800mhz Athlon classic
16X pioneer DVD
floppy drive
CLA2 geforce2 gts

That's the special "ZERO BEEP" code which means you need more ram.
