New System Purchase -- which one to chose?

I am going to purchase the components for my new system within the month. I will be purchasing a X38 chipset board, leaning towards the Asus MAXIMUS FORMULA/SE MB.

I am looking at the following cases?

SILVERSTONE TJ09
SILVERSTONE TJ10
Mountain Mod case

Opinions?

I prefer the TJ09 since it doesnt have the drive bay door like the Tj10. It also is an excellent air cooling case, and it can be modded for WC

Correct answer, as far as WC goes - TJ09 or TJ10 (should have been called TJ-09 Plus) for air-cooling.

However, IMHO, MM U2-UFO is THE way to go, definitely (air or water)! 😀

VinDSL,

I understand the H2go is the "moble LAN Party" model, and that the duality is two MB's, but in quoting you...

..."However, IMHO, MM U2-UFO is THE way to go, definitely (air or water)! 😀"...

...Why the MM-UFO? How does it differ from the other model?

Guess this says it all!

Mountain Mods has designed this [U2-UFO] case to be about the easiest case to work with on the market. If you can not lay out a killer water loop with this design then you better just hang up your PC building career and go buy a plain old stock dell computer.

more like this should show it all:

U2-UFO with top tier h2o cooling.

GAH i need to take new pics. That pic is so old. Board swapped to a ASUS P5K. Major rewiring done as well. But i think you should get the point.

MM FTW! if your watercooling without a budget.

aigomorla,

Thanks great! Whats the white transparent block of fans for ? I find it interesting that you don't use clamps on the nipples for the blocks, and pump...is there a good reason?

I used to have a 50gal saltwater tank, a reef tank actually...so I hope you don't mind my asking about the hook ups...as no clamps makes me nervous.

oh i do.

I used zipties for the 7/16ID tubing. Drive clamps for the RD-30 portion.

Those were still build in progress pics. I told you its kinda old.

The white fan you see is a tt cyclone ram cooler replaced to a single 90mm Yate fan with rubber bands. ITs so much cheaper and better then that cyclone cooler.

Active cooling on ram is a must when you push it at 2.1V+ and i wouldnt recomend anything higher then 2.275 V on the ram.

shhhhhhhhhh your going to hurt my comp's feelings.

Then she's gonna have to come around and pwn you rally. 😛

pshaw, we all know she's too fat to get out the doorway. Richard Simmons is going to come by and console her.

If I had the time/space/cash, I'd get the UFO2. Hands down.

If I had the cash, I'd get the TJ09 (tj07 for water).

ROFL

Almost made me spit out my coffee..

you know what tho. Its not as big as people think it is. When i saw it in RL, i was like... oh its a cube. But i believe most people who own one always say, oh its not as big as i thought it would be.

And watercooling people end up saying OH DARN! i RAN OUT OF ROOM!!.

:T

TJ-07 are very nice. I had one. Very well built, and you can flip the mobo try upside down and make it a lian li wannabe. ahahhaha..

There both great cases for h2o cooling.

Update:

Ok, After awaiting a ridiculous amount of time -- some for industry missedlaunches & some personal -- I'm in the position to purchase this day.

After looking at all three of these offerings, I will be purchasing the Cooler Master Stacker 830 Evo. Newegg as it on sale, & then CM has a $60.00 rebate, no S&H fees, Seems like a good deal to me.

I plan on filling the fan bays with YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan - D12SL-12. MountainMods have them for $4.99 EA.

I have a Thermalright 120 Extreme CPU Fan, but'm in need of the rest of the gear...

Thanks for all of your feedback.
