New System Problems

Hey guys,

Yesterday I put a new computer together with the following parts.

Core 2 Duo E6400
Intel G965 mobo
WD SATA HD
FSP AX400 PSU
512 MB DDR2 675 ram

When I put it together I had a large amount of trouble getting the heatsink on. When I first tried it, it wouldn't turn on. I reseated the HSF again and it turns on, boots into windows, runs at 24 C, and does SuperPI to 1M in 28s. I am wondering if I did any damage in their when putting it in as I had to use a lot of force to get the HSF on and also for some reason when I plug my computer into the outlet it turns on for less than a second without me doing anything and then shuts back off.

Any thoughts,
Thanks

Yes when I plug it in it starts for less then a second and then turns off until I press the button and turn it on. I think it has something to do with the "Wake on LAN" feature in the BIOS, but Im looking for a second opinion. Also, Guild Wars just crashed the computer on me and it wouldn't restart until I pulled the plug and restarted. I was thinking that may be because it's a G965 board??
