New system....performance question

I built my system over the weekend and did some tweaking, but I'm not so sure I'm getting the performance I should be getting. The components I used are in my sig. I didn't go crazy with overclocking, I just went for a moderate boost in performance. Here's the scoop:

CPU: 2400 mhz
FSB: 240 mhz x 4 = 960 mhz
RAM Frequency: 200 mhz (Dual Channel: 2-3-2-5 / 1T)

PCMARK05: 5800
3DMARK05: 7600

These benchmarks seem low. I see higher results from lesser systems, such as a 6800 Ultra getting a 3Dmark of 12,000 plus (Athlon 64 SD 3700+).

Am I missing something? All comments welcome!!

are you sure that 12,000 score isn't from an SLI-ed system?

futuremark doesn't show the difference between 2 cards and 1 card.

that would be my guess as to why you see such a difference.

for your pcmark score, i think it's not off that much

yea your score doesnt suck l wouldnt be to worried , you can fiddle with futuremark and up your score by 3000 without doing anything to your pc set up , and then theres ocing , .......your score is fine. Some people LIE about there real benched scores too [ omfg what a suprise ! ] , so the only way for a true comparison is at futuremark with identical systems , and them chances ? Yep !

your score sounds fine.

fx55 , x800xtpe , 2 gig ram [pc3200] , 200 hd sata, not overclocked futuremark fiddled score of 9199 , its true futuremark score with everything set high, 6067, this is a pcmarks05 test.

It aint the highest score by anymeans but lve been to plenty of lan parties and my fx55 is still pwning most pc's in games for smooth performance , and my dual core at 2.2 each [4400+] is just amazing with a 7800gtx video card.
Now l host most of em too !
My piont is score means very little in a 3d world , like bf2 , only real world use will show you its true performance in games.
