Sapphire GTO2 Shooting for the Unlock and major overclock.
Raptor 74GB
2x1GB G.Skill Ram
Thermaltake TR2 430W
Gigabyte 3D Aurora Full Tower

Really went over budget so Ill have to add another 2GB of ram at a later time. Just extremely excited and figured Id see what you guys have to say.

How is the extra speed of the Raptor wasteful? Going to use it mainly for OS and a few programs, I will use another drive for storage. Wanted this system to operate as quickly as possible so only choice was the raptor, unless im sadly misinformed, then in that case please inform me.

Caboose probably thinks that it's overpriced. However, I remember reading that some of the new, large capacity drives perform just as well if not better than the Raptor.

As for overall performance, raptor is the least value for the money. I replaced my two 74's in Raid 0 with a single 80GB 7200rpm and haven't noticed much difference. The only exception being the recording of games with fraps.

Got it for about $135, maybe a lil overpriced and overrated but seems everyone that has one loves it so the little extra I think will be worth it for a second here and there. The Thermaltake was on sale and I may switch over this coolermaster and put the thermaltake in this rig before I sell it.
