I was just browsing some guy's files on DC and I saw 2 new SOAD albums. The first one was labeled "Defy Ypou (2002)" and had 6 tracks and the second was labeled "Untiltled unmastered Advance 2002". I downloaded a few tracks and sure enough, it sounds like SOAD.

Anyone know when these are supposed to be released?

The unmastered ones weren't supposed to be released, and apparently SOAD is pissed that they were. They apparently don't represent the "level of refinement heard in a finished song" by the band. Heard something on the radio about it a few weeks back.

Well, they were giving copies of it out at the show. What did they think would happen?

From the release notes:
Got this from the lead singer after a cali show cause he was
giving out bout 10 copies of this on a cd-r disk after the show.
Sorry about the names, these are probably not the retail names,
but they are good for now. Theres 2 versions of a song on here
also, you figure it out. This is UNMASTERED and an ADVANCE, not to
be confused with RETAIL.
