Hello all, i am dinesh..
I need to build a new system and this will be the first ever build by me with the help of you guyz...
Please help with your recommendations and comments... :)

1. What is the purpose of the computer?
A: The system will be mainly used for programming (.Net, MS Visual Studio2010, SQL server 2008, etc.), Graphics editing and animation.
I'll edit and create DVD's and also use it as a HTPC.
A little bit of casual gaming also(COD, Warcraft, NFS, etc)

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A:YES

3. What is your MAX budget?
A:INR 45,000/-

4. Planning to overclock?
A:NO

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A:Windows 7 Ultimate

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 1 TB

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: I'll be buying a 20-22" monitor.

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A:5

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A:Will be build by me for the first time.

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: Within 45 days.

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: YES

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.

Rs.9,800.00 + Rs.75.00 - Intel Core i5-760

Rs.5,850.00 + Rs.150.00 - MSI P55-CD53

Rs.11,300.00 + Rs.150.00 - ZOTAC GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB

2x (Rs.1,200.00 + Rs.75.00) - G.SKILL 2GB DDR3-1333

Rs.2,850.00 + Rs.80.00 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB

Rs.900.00 + Rs.75.00 - LG DVD Burner

Rs.2,600.00 + Rs.200.00 - CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX

Rs.1,550.00 + Rs.650.00 - COOLER MASTER Elite 310

Rs.7,750.00 + Rs.650.00 - AOC 22" 2236VW (1080p)

Rs.5,850.00 + Rs.75.00 - Windows 7 HP

Grand total:
Rs.51500 + Rs.2255 = Rs.53755

Well, that goes overbudget....
Rs.7,500.00 + Rs.100.00 - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5770 1GB
I suggested the GTX 460 1GB, since I thought that might be more useful with the graphics editing stuff. Swapping the GTX460 for the 5770 would knock off Rs.3850.
Getting a smaller monitor would also bring it closer to the Rs.45000 budget limit, though I'm not sure I would want to do that.

And of course, swap the i5-760 and P55 mobo out for the i5-2400/i5-2500 and P67 mobo, if they are available.

I have abt a month for the system, in that time i think i5-2500 will be available in the market. And for SB with a p67 mobo how much impact will it have on my budget.

Please suggest, SB i5-2500 or AMD phenom-1090t-black-edition

You didn't actually mean the original Call of Duty, Warcraft, and Need for Speed, right?

I'm not sure how often you plan on gaming or if high graphics settings matter, but you could easily shave cost with a less powerful GPU. Any modern day graphics card will play old games just fine as well.

The 5670 will probably play any game out today, though with low settings in the more graphically demanding games.

I really dont play games oftenly...
casually i play these games...
mainly its programming and HTPC and to some extent Graphics editing...
I too think that a GPU like 5670 will suffice.

A 5670 should give you enough room in your budget for an i5 2500 and P67 mobo.
