New System Build: Need final input :)

Hi guys! I've been saving and saving my butt off the last few months and have come up with about $500 in which to upgrade my existing system. LOL, it's more like a replacement than an upgrade, but anywho, I've listed the components below and their prices (Zipzoomfly or Newegg--- shipping included).

What I'd like to know is what you would change and why, but remember, the most I can go is $525. I'm not into overclocking right now, but may do so down the line if I decide I need a little more speed. I also plan on buying a new video card in about 3 or 4 months when the new line of cards settle in and the existing cards drop in price a bit.

Ok, without further ado, here it is......

CPU: Barton 2500+ Retail $80.00
MB: Abit NF7-S v2.0 90.25
RAM: 1GB (2x512MB) Muskin PC3200 (Green) 192.00
VC: Using existing Gainward GF3 64MB 0.00
DVD: Liteon 16x DVD 33.50
Case: Antec SLK3700BQE 87.00
Case Fan: Vantec Stealth 120mmx25mm 16.05

Grand Total: $498.80

Appreciate the help guys... thank you.

looks great! since you said u planned on overclocking it a bit later if you need more speed, you should get the mobile 2400+ instead. just set the fsb to 166 and the multiplier to 11 and bring the voltage to 1.6 and tada! you have a 2500+. hten, if you want to overclock that some more, go set the fsb to 200, the vcore to 1.65 or 1.75 and the multiplier to 12, and you have 2400MHz, or a 3600+ cpu. t

yep i'd go with a mobile barton 2500+. it's only like $13 more than the desktop and you don't have to overclock it right away but at least it will give you the headroom in case you decide to overclock later on. you're alo getting a really good mobo for overclocking. nice selections. 😀

Kingston has a pretty good deal until 4/30. You can egt 1 gig of value ram for 160 dollars, if you are interested.
