New Subwoofer for PC speakers

Right now I have some Altec Lansing speakers (not sure the model, i can check later) that have a subwoofer.

I was wondering if you can replace the sub with a new one, and if so can it be any sub or what?

It would totally depend on which speakers you have now and what type of connectors they have...what's the model #?

Most likely it's gonna be cheaper just to be a brand new 3 piece set

Concur with sohcrates,

Would highly recommend the Logitech Z560's, their subwoofer absolutely hits. The price you'd pay for a good sub, you could get the 400w Z560's
