Just got my evga 6800 nu from newegg.
my rig
athlon 64 3000
Aopen ak86-l
768 ddr 400 corsair xms
2 80 gig hitachi sata raid 0
audigy gamer

I have nothing overclocked so here are some numbers i got with my old 9700 pro and new 6800.

9700 pro 6800 6800 (16x1, 6vp) 6800 (12x1, 6vp)
cs source stress test 44.32 fps 71.20 fps 80.52 fps 71.76 fps
Doom3 timedemo 1 28.6 fps 63.6 fps 68.3 fps 63.8 fps
aquamark 32,925 51,259 53,322 51,473
3dmark03 4832 8792 9615 takes to long to run..tired
3dmark05 2136 3237 3623 3321

Important note about unlocked pipes: 16x1,6vp, I got artifacts in the monitors on cs source stress test when looking down the hall when you can first see them but they where fine when I got to the section with the exception of the largest screen....the corner had artifacts.
No artifacts in doom 3.
No artifacts in Aquamark.
3dmark03 had alot of artifacts during the two cpu tests and the vertex shader test. All other tests had no artifacts.
3dmark05 had alot of artifacts during cpu tests but none in the other tests.

Not artifacts in 12x1,6vp

Not really sure what to make of it. Running in 12x1,6vp right now but tomorrow I will actually try to play the games at 16x1,6vp to see if there are any atrifacts. I will also try just overclocking the card to post the results as well.

I forgot to mention this on my previous post. hl was ran in 1280 x 1024 4x antialiasing w/ tri filtering. Doom3 1280 x 1024 high quality.

I tried just over clocking using coolbits and selecting Detect optimal frequencies.
It gave me 365/780.

I then ran the benches again.

cs source stress test- 78.97 fps
Doom3 time demo- 68.5 fps
aquamark- 54,200
3dmark03- 9705
3dmark05- 3698

I also turned back on the 16x1,6vp and ran cs stess test (90.52 fps) and 3dmark05 (4004) but still had artifacts.
With the exception of cs all of my benches where better with the overclock instead of opening the 4 pipes. I might try actually playing the game to see if I get the artifacts.

nice result,
I couldnt figure out why your results were a little better than mine since my rig should be better, then i realized you ran the test at a lower resolution.. why would you do that?
also, i beat you in all but 3 tests(even at a higher res) and for some reason, my score is lower

I am going out on a limb and saying yes that eVGA is a "new style" 6800. The easiest way to tell the difference is that the new style 6800nus have a white molex plug instead of a black molex.

Actually I just bought my eVGA on Tuesday from newegg and it has the black molex with silver band, even though the new egg picture shows an eVGA card with a white molex.

If you upgrade your drivers to 66.93 your score will add another couple hundred points Cdub. I was amazed at the difference when I upgraded from the Omega drivers.

Thanks for the info..what about the beta 71.20's?

I figured I would toss out some testing results for everyone to peruse. Hopefully you find this information as entertaining as I found it boring watching 3dmark03/05 over and over.

For each of these tests, I kept my system settings the same and changed the clock speeds or drivers only. In between each test, I rebooted my machine and turned off all extraneous programs. My system is an Athlon Mobile 2600 running at 2500 (12.5X200 w/1.7 vcore), Shuttle AN35N Ultra, 2X512 MB Samsung PC3500 RAM @200(2.5,3,3,7), and PNY 6800 w/NV5 silencer (12x1, 6vp).

RESULTS:

Stock settings 325core 700memory Omega 66.71 drivers:
3dmark03----8591
3dmark05----2576

Stock settings 325core 700memory 66.93 drivers:
3dmark03----8770
3dmark05----3313

Stock settings 325core 700memory 71.24 beta drivers:
3dmark03----8961
3dmark05----3693

O/C settings 395core 842memory 66.93 drivers:
3dmark03----10178
3dmark05----3890

O/C settings 405core 853 memory 66.93 drivers:
3dmark03----10272
3dmark05----3941

O/C settings 396core 844memory 71.24beta drivers (tests would not finish using 405/853):
3dmark03----10388
3dmark05----4423

That was all I could stomach for one evening. For those that are really into numbers and such, the serial number on my graphics chip is 1BTUT02B30 0441A1 and the memory on my card is HY5DU 283222 AF-22 339A KOR 7L42314C. Not sure how the serial numbers correlate to results or anything, but perhaps it will be useful to someone out there.

As for the testing results, I think it is relatively obvious that the newer the drivers, the better the performance.

15.3 unlocked everything on my Gigabyte 6800NU (fanless). It didn't work using 15.2.
Not overcloking (yet) since it is running at about 70C idle (1 case fan)/75C under load. Once I do O/C, I'll plug in the other one....trying to keep things quiet.

I got artifacts funning FS2004 so I just went back to stock settings. I can run games just about all maxed out on a Dell 2005FPW monitor on FS2004 and HL2 right now (unlocked), but it's nice to know I have some reserve power, just in case.
