New Steam profile and trading cards, oh my!

ugh...more useless addons for Steam (though I'm surprised it's not for TeamFuckingboring 2 this time).

Why not put the resources/time and energy into a new game? And by new I mean HL3. And by time and energy I don't mean fucking "Valve time" comments or teasers.

So I crafted a badge and got 3 things when I crafted it. A background image for my profile (that I sold on the marketplace for a few bucks 😀 ), an emoticon, and a 50% off coupon for Awesomenauts. Also got exp for crafting it.

Pretty cool, I got the cards I was missing by trading with someone on my friends list.

Kind of agree...I can ignore it but it is hard to not feel like Valve just doesn't really care much about things. Steam is mostly problem free but God help you if you have a problem. They have terrible service and support. Their games lately aren't very inspiring. They are just milking PC gaming at this point, a few cents off the top here and a few dollars from that dev there.

It's alright though, like I said I can ignore it. It's just one of those things way back in your mind that you can't really forget.

I don't really see the point of complaining in the thread about it though.

Steam level 6 bitches!......75 more XP and I'm level 7 and then Gabe's going to give me.....well I don't know. Did I mention I'm level 6?

LOL this was good, free fun (and I don't even play any of the card-generating games). Thanks Valve.

Level 12 here. Highest I've seen is 24.

I'm liking this whole trading card thing and the marketplace. I was lucky and got a foil card and sold it and got $30 😀

Na, they wasted a lot of cash. They had level 5 of all the badges (expect foils).

I was wondering because you get experience from doing the summer and winter community contest. There were a few contest I did not complete, so I lost out on future exp points.

I have to admit, I have been playing tf2 a lot more due to the random card drops. If only valve would add support to l4d2.

The only contest I didn't do at all was the Potato Sack one, all the rest I have.

I am really surprised Valve doesn't have L4D2 as one of the games with cards. It is their only game that doesn't (not counting 1st's of a series).

Man, I must have missed something. I went in to look at the trading card thing and all I saw was a Heavy card I'd received, but no mention of levels or anything else. :hmm:

You can see your level on your Badges page as well as Profile page.

I'd like to see Valve do something with the levels. Like for each level you get a 1% off coupon usable anytime (including sales) that's stackable. So in a couple years when I finally get around to buying Skyrim on a $5 sale, I'll get an additional 6% off.

Hey....it's something.
