Link - RDA looks like he's getting a little chunky but this is looking better to me than all the previous teasers.

RDA doesn't look like he's getting chunky. He IS getting chunky.

Pretty good trailer!

However, before I become too involved in another Stargate SyFy is going to have to fix the problem with the ending of Atlantis. The worst ending possible and I am guessing there will be no movie to complete the series.

FYI the Stargate Atlantis movie was supposed to have already been aired. Instead they have just commissioned a script. And the only people SyFy have asked to be in the movie are Amanda Tapping and Chris Heyerdahl, who just happen to be still employed by SyFy.
The actor who plays Sheppard says he can't get SyFy to even return a call, and he doesn't know if they are really making a movie.
This would indicate to me that there is no real interest in completing the series with a movie. If they really wanted to make a movie they would have at least optioned some of the series regulars.

To leave Atlantis the way SyFy did, was just a slap in the face to people who have watched over 15 seasons of Stargate. They rushed thru the last few episodes, and the producers say they begged SyFy to let them make the finale a two parter and SyFy said no.
SyFy blames MGM and MGM blames SyFy. SyFy said that MGM wanted to make movies. Yet, no movie. And now SGU will air at least a year before an Atlantis movie, if ever.

And basically Stargate Command went to the Pegasus galaxy to scavenge Ancient technology. And what they did was:
Awaken the Wraith
Create Michael who killed countless humans and enslaved a whole lot of them.
Reprogrammed the Replicators who went on a human killing spree.
Helped the Hoffans create a drug that Michael used to kill many humans.
Blew up a solar system cause they thought they were smarter than the Ancients.
Turned on the Ancient device that turned Stargates into death traps.
Wiped out the first human settlement of the Travelers and destroyed their Ancient warship.

And then after all this they ran back to the Milky Way galaxy.
I'm guessing the idea of a border fence is looking pretty good to the Pegasus galaxy about now.

Looks pretty good, and I agree with techs about Atlantis. Was such a good show IMO and then they just fucked it all up at the end. That and the Atlantis team didn't seem to be helping Pegasus a whole lot.

Looks like a younger, more dramatic (read: space opera) Stargate. In other words, they BSGed it.

It could be good, but it could also be very bad.

Wow, they really went all out on the CGI with this one. Not really looking forward to hot steamy teenager sex scenes in meh stargate though :(

And I still think the ending to Atlantis was better than SG-1s..ugh.

Main, been so long and so forgettable I barely remember the ending to atlantis; other than they wasted like a dozen filler episodes before remembering it was the final season.

I AM NOT A CYLON!

I got sick of BSG's emo overdramatization and now it seems to be spreading, ugh.

Exactly. The first half of the trailer looked good, it looked like Stargate. Then the second half hits - it's exactly what I'd expect BattleStargate Voyager 90210 to be. It's crushing any hopes I have for the series.

I don't want to have to take Prozac just to watch what's supposed to be a slightly campy space adventure show.

And I want my Atlantis movie! The series finale was a good episode, but it was a poor way to finish the series. At least the Children of the Gods re-cut is out this week.

Well, the Sci Fi.....SyFy channel has been screwing its viewers over for awhile now so that was no suprise. I seriously do not know how they stay around. They can all the good shows and make tons of shitty shitty "B" movies (Although I think B is even a stretch). I do hope SGU is good though. My Fridays just aren't the same without some sort of SG show

As long as they don't hit the reset button after nearly every episode like that steaming turd Voyager, they've got a shot at being a decent series.

For the most part it looks like something I am willing to check out (loved SG-1; Atlantis I watched but found meh). However that teen romance drama shit is going to get on my nerves.

Teen romance + Lou Diamond Phillips = massive fail.

The should have called it The Hills 90210 Lost In Space Voyager Stargate Fail.

I was never able to get into even Stargate: Atlantis. What did it in for me was the fact that Col. Sheperd was supposed to be in the military, but he's got a trendy Hollywood style haircut. You can only suspend disbelief so far.
