New star wars trailer

Lucasfilm released a statement earlier that said all the trailers people are seeing are fake. The real one does not come out until tomorrow. I'm just kinda curious if your theater released it early or if you watched one of the fake ones at home.

The villain at the end was Darth Malgus. He's already dead. Hardly a "new" villain. The footage was a combination of old republic and force unleashed and footage/deleted scenes from RoTJ.

EDIT: Spoiler/Speculation
- I think stormtrooper at the beginning is being hunted/searched for. He was probably disguised as a stromtrooper to escape. You can hear the droid chatter when he appears (like that of the search droid in Empire Strikes Back on Hoth).
- the pilot of the Falcon is probably Han/Leia's offspring, the announcer says "There has been an awakening of the Dark Side,.. and Light".

not the biggest starwars fan at all, but that trailer looks pretty sweet. doesn't look cheesy at all like the originals.

I think they were going for an ominous tone. Didn't show much but intriguing which is as it should be. They're called teasers for a reason.

That lightsabre looks like you could lose a finger if you're not careful. Considering the style of fighting most Jedi seems to use, that's a likely possibility.

That's exactly how I feel. I actually just rewatched the 4-6 over the last few days (had a hankering) and still love the movies; but 1-3 just hurt so bad. They destroyed any faith I had and will need to be proven wrong before I get excited at all about future movies.
