Ships and things and the like are basically known technologies in Star Wars. What I'm trying to get at is that they've been around for a long time and they don't really change much. Once travel through hyperspace was learned, they didn't need to change it, for example. There's just modifications to it to make it better. As far as the lightsaber goes, it's an ancient weapon, as it is. The methods for constructing those wouldn't change over the course of 4000 years. There are technological advancements on the other things, though. For example, the X-wing fighter is the replacement for the Z-95 Headhunter (yes, I'm a Star Wars geek in my spare time) and is a better ship, but they look a good deal alike if you compare the two side-by-side. Same with one of the droids in the trailer - it looks a good bit like an R2 unit, just not as advanced or smart or whatever. My $.02.Originally posted by: Chadder007
