Holy shit it's amazing how much difference a 'good' set of speakers makes everything sound. I didn't realize how bad my old setup was but one of the speakers stopped working so I went to best buy and picked up a new set with a few left over gift cards from Christmas. Ended up paying ~$80 out of pocket for http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Klipsch...lack/9382232.p?id=1218095770265&skuId=9382232 and they are well worth it imo. I'm sure there are better out there and possibly cheaper but I'm very satisfied with the quality of this setup.

Definitely. I found out after spending ~$2000 on a DAC and a set of hi-fi speakers :)

I agree, Biostud. Seeing your QTH, how do you rate these?

I haven' had much experience with B&O, but from my understanding you pay quite a premium for the "danish design" element. There's no doubt that B&O have some skilled engineers, but I would never buy B&O, simply because it's too expensive. Also I think that many other companies have improved vastly on their design were you can get better sound, for the same amount of money.

Understood. OTH, I never let price keep me from top quality. :)

Heh, but for the same price you can get even better sound other places. It really depends on whether you want to pay for the design or if you rather would put the money towards even better sound.

That is very true. And for really good sound, listen to audiophile grade driven by an external amp.

The reason I mention B&O was because of your stated location in Arhuis. :)
