Yeah, I have been noticing that retail have been churning up more DLT3C, but they do cost significantly more and it still is a gamble.

how far would you guess that chip would go on air, at say, 1.75V actual? 2.25 ghz?

i think it's capable of 2.3 @ around 1.75 volts or 1.7 actual

i can do more tests later...

I'm gambling on pcsupplysource.com to send me a chip with the same steppings as Shimmishim's.

If I get a dud who's willing to buy it from me? :D

anyone know if its a good idea to keep a chip running at 1.8v for a long time?

i have a JIUCB 1800 that does 1.833ghz on 1.6v any higher needs additional voltage unfortunately. managed to get it running 2ghz on 1.8v but would this degrade the chip badly? not too bothered about the chip but my main concern with a high voltage is how will the motherboard take it? (8rda+)

interestingly heat doesnt seem to be a problem, even on a crappy aluminum HSF at 2ghz with 1.8v it reaches a maximum temp of 41C when doing seti or whatever and about 38C idle

i determined that in order to run 2-2-2-6 @ 200 mhz i had to up my vcore .075!!!

when i backed down my timing to 2-3-3-6 @ 200 mhz, i was able to run this new chip at 1.8volts bios or 1.73-75 actual.

crazy huh?

i wonder if the upmw in the sig can do 2.4 @ 1.8volts then... hmm...

:)

or better.. wonder if it could do 2.5 @ a lower voltage than i had it at before... *drool*

Ummm, you're not serious, right? How much could you possibly get for it? A "U" goes for as little as $53 and can get to 2GHz easy on air. Nobody will pay any more than maybe $100 for that. Is it worth the hassle for $31?

Hi!

I sell my processors off for very good prices. :)

I usually sell them in the 60-70 dollar range... about the same price you can get these tbred b's for...

i sell them a little cheaper because they've been used for a few weeks but nonetheless I lose money in the end...

i don't try to get profits... i do it cuz i enjoy it and i want people to not have to take these gambles from places like newegg only to get a processor that can only do like 2.2 ghz...
