Best Buy has the new Soundblaster Live MP3 5.1 for $79.99

My local Best Buy had about 6 of them sitting on the shelf.
It's an unadvertised special. Check your local stores.

Anyone know how these things perform? Anyone got a link to someone that reviewed 'em?

Spico, you are too friggin' cruel. You say BB is clearancing the older Platinum, but YOU DON'T TELL US HOW MUCH THEY WANT FOR THEM!

Now, perhaps I simply can't find the thread with the price, but this would be considered an error in reporting on the board...

Hi,
I bought the each of the new x-gamer and mp3 for myself and my bro, its kinda annoying if you have a dolby digital decoder on you speakers. I have the DTT2500 speakers and I can't tell when dolby digital 5.1 is on because the sound card does it before it is sent to the decoder. I have to listen for it and then I don't know if it pro logic that the decoder is doing or 5.1 surrond, it had me confused a little and then u have to turn off decoding on your speakers or it tries to decode it twice and messes up the sound. But I don't know if the 5.1 in the card is better than the decoder on the speakers cause isn't suppose to be 5.1 simulated in the card. Onvia has all of them in stock, that's where I picked mine up, platinum, mp3, and x-gamer.

I didn't see ANY X-Gamer series on the shelf so I don't know what's up with that. I'll keep checking every few days.
