price looks low. but if the 20gb costs the same as g3 15gb it would still be a better deal

wondering about the battery life and the case

Much, much.... much better. For ergonomics it can't be beat, and the actual "click" of the button is better than the touch-sensitive ones on the 3G.

Click? So they're actually "push-in" kind of buttons?

I actually got used to the touch sensitive ones on my ipod... I don't thikn they're as bad as some people make them to be

I got hundreds of GBs of music but do I really need a 100 GB ipod? No. Simply no. I got an iPod mini with 4GB and I am a happy camper. I plug it in at night, it charges itself, and if I need to transfer a song to it, it takes less than a second.

can't wait to see it. i wonder if it'll be another plastic galore cheap-skate thing like the mini ipods.

pic of new iPod

Basically it's the mini key design on the full iPod. That's good because I really hate the 3G four-button layout.

Sucks because I was sure the 4G iPod would be the WiPod (built in Wi-Fi).

you know what would be sweet? if a HD based mp3 player would store the album cover art and maybe liner notes. storage shouldn't be an issue.

Uhhhh. I was hoping for more battery life and it looks like I'll get it, but I don't like that clickwheel at all :(

I think the big question is, when the battery on my 3g iPod finally dies, will apple replace it with one of those new-fangled 12 hour batteries?

if you read the article it says the battery is not why you get 12 hours, but rather it's "conservation" made by the OS
