Hey guys... I am trying to start a new forum and I need help spreading the news. Like anandtech... I am trying to start up a technical forum. I am in no way going to be able to compete with Anandtech... but this is just a start to see what I can do with forums. So please help me out. I am willing to take some advice and ideas for the new site. The address is www.scoutgeek.com. Thanks!
 
Wow, you've got 26 subforums between two users (one of whom is me). Posts might be spread a little thin for a while.

edit: But seriously, there's nothing about this forum that isn't replicated in 100,000 other places on the net. Don't bother dude - get a unique idea and start a project based on that.
 
If you want people to come and use your website, you need to give them a reason to? Why your site and not one of the hundred thousand others just like it?
 
Playing with forums is fun but it is extremely difficult to launch one. I spent a few years writing modifications for yabb and learned alot about programing while doing it but I never had any success launching a forum (and I was no where near as obnoxious then).

like, anti-american, anti-kiwi, anti-gaga, anti-class, etc. kind of hate that makes this place so special?

I don't hate any of those things. I rarely write about the things I truly hate. I have dolls to address those passions.
