New SiS and VIA chipsets in March

Nothing big really. The biggest thing is offical 533fsb Northwood support but on the AMD end, nothing. AGP 8X brings nothing in terms of performance to the table, and sure there's mention of DDR400, but there's no guarantee that we'll ever see PC3200 hit the retail market. Nothing to get excited about.

Except that you could buy a mobo today, or one of these next month. The new ones will probably last a few more months on the tail end of upgradeability.

Sure, there's always something new around the corner, but it's usually better to buy at the beginning of higher standards rather than the end of old ones...depending on what you're looking for. (Which is why I'm not buying an .18 micron Athlon XP setup right now.)
