I understand that, theoretically speaking, cooling the HDDs with the PSU fan might be questionable. But Anandtech's review of this case makes it appear that, unmodded, this case represents THE best compromise of thermal and sound benchmarks of all cases tested.
It's within a 1dB of the quietest case (the Cooler Master Centurion 5) and is THE best or close to the best on virtually every themal test. With respect to HDD cooling (its "worst" performance area), it's still within only 1.2 degrees C of the Thermaltake Tsunami, which I've heard no one fault with respect to cooling. And, frankly, is there anyone out there who believes HDD cooling is really necessary in the first place?
Now, I'm a newby, just getting up to speed on things. But based on what I'm reading, this is an excellent case. What am I missing?
