new setup, yellow screen!

I just assembled a pc with new components. The computer screen where whites should be has a yellow tint to it. The monitor is good, tested it on another PC, no other peripherals hooked up. Even the command prompt and BIOS text are yellow!

Anyone encounter this before?

bad videocard or cable? sounds like the blue color isn't transmitted.
Could the cable be ruled out if the monitor tested well on another system?

It could be a defective video card (can you try that in another system?), of course...

🙁 Can't test on a different system 'cause the video is on-board. Intel support sucks, pay per incident and this is a new motherboard.

I'm appealing an exchange to newegg since I bought this on 12/28/04 from newegg. *sigh* now I'm beating myself up for not installing it sooner.

After talking to intel support, it was decided (I knew that already before I called) that the onboard vide is faulty. I get a replacement in the mail after they get the old one.

Intel support charges $25 per incident but is refunded if you are issued an RMA number which is kind of a relief since the product is under warranty. They don't do this on CPUs though, first time I called on a motherboard.

Anyways, that's that - another one for experience.
