New setup problem

I just put a system together. Everything seems fine, it powers up, but the monitor does not kick in?

1) make sure vid card is seated 100%...
2) make sure a keyboard is plugged in or the bios will halt on that and not post....
3) make sure you have minimum mobo, 1 stick of ram, 1 cpu, 1 vid card, 1 PSU, and ofcourse 1 monitor plugged in and connected to the computer properly.
