Bought two new home theaters pieces yesterday to replace my aging TV cabinet, that wasn't getting used much anymore. Here is my old cabinet

I've never used the CD racks and the bottom section was design by an idiot because it isn't wide enough to fit stereo components/dvd players/ etc. without physically modding the middle support peice (which I did to fit my reciever). Just basically a badly designed peice of crap.
Here is my new setup:

I've gone very back to basics with my concept of a home theater. I had to mod the tv stand to hold my 32" Toshiba because I didn't trust it to hold the 110lbs beast. 🙂 I added the two vertical supports on the sides of it. That made it rock solid.
Anyway, the only thing I've got left is to straighten the cables up in the back. They seemed organized when I was stringing the cables back and forth tonight. 🙂
Whadya think?
Joe
btw: You can't see it, but I have a digital projection screen that is mounted on the ceiling and comes down to make a 72x40 inch projection screen at eye level. Good stuff! 🙂
