New series of Top Gear started today

I want the Marauder.

Lol, that thing is a beast. I couldn't imagine it on British roads - it's akin to a monster truck.

What amazes me most is the editing.. its unbe-fucking-lievable.. one of the best out there I guess.

Alice Cooper seems like a genuine gentleman.. and LOL at that cute girl in tears as long as Cooper was talking.

Overall.. a really good episode.

Anyone else tired of Clarkson's nostalgia for Britain in the good ol' days? I am scared he is going to say he wishes they still had their colonies! He is coming off a little preachy.

the only thing clarkson loves more than a paycheck is the sound of his own voice.

i thought this episode had some really crappy editing, particularly as they stitched together the alice cooper interview. like most episodes, it's tailored to people that like flashing lights and swooshing sounds, and don't know a damn thing about cars. example: they neglected to mention armored personnel carriers like that marauder have been built in south africa for decades, and the whole point is to survive on a continent covered in land mines. however, they did not neglect to make maximum drama at the incorrect use of the term "machine guns" and drive through some loosely stacked bricks.

Top Gear used to be aimed directly at an audience like you. It was shit.

Why do you watch the show? How would the show have benefitted, from an entertainment perspective, from talking more about the history of African armored SUVs?

Here's a question for the hardcore fans.

The Rally Mini Cooper that May drove, the original one.

Was it the same Paddy Hopkirk's Mini Cooper from Restoration Rip Off in Series 5?

Edit: Nope, it's not. Just watched the old episode and then compared to the new one, different number plates.
