Working much better for me now as well.. Searches that turned up nothing earlier in the morning are now accurate and working.

Don't like it.

It doesn't present the results in a manner which clearly shows what is most important. Do the more popular results flow towards the right or the bottom?

A lot of the results I get are duplicated results. Rather than showing a random image from the website it should show a thumbnail of all the websites or something. Half of the pictures that came up with the page were mostly irrelevant.

In an attempt to differentiate themselves from the other search engines, they miss the point of making information fast and easy to interpret, I feel. I'm curious as to what their usability testing was like.

To top it off... they just flat out don't offer the services that Google, Yahoo OR MSN have.

Edit: The complete lack of a "did you mean...?" sort of thing puts and instant "no" on this thing.

On a 17in iMac the right half of my screen in the search results is blank... this while the result information is crammed against the left side with only a few words on each line.

My view choices are "2 Column" or "3 Column"??? Where the fuck is the option for "1 Column and make it fit my screen like you actually coded this for the world and not your own personal workstations"

Haven't had a chance to evaluate search results yet because it's so slow... but I can say that I hate the interface it uses for presenting the results. Yuck. It's totally haphazard and confusing. Not sure if that's from my years of Googling or if it's because Cuil really does have a terrible interface, but either way, this is barely even a novelty.

Agree... this thing is a nightmare to look at.

Proof that being a former Google employee doesn't make you any better at making a website.

I looks for odd things though. Searching for sphexi.com, it found places that link to it, but not the site itself. It seems to have indexed every single available post made on boards I frequent, no wonder they can claim 120 billion pages indexed.

The results look too much like ads to me. It also seems to be missing half the internet.

I love how DailyTech has a picture of the predator next to it's listing.

We didn?t find any results for ?somethingawful?

Some reasons might be...
a typo. Please check your spelling.
your search includes a term that is very rare. Try to find a more common substitute.
too many search terms. Please try fewer terms.

Finally, try to think of different words to describe your search.

(Break it into two words, and it works)

There is nothing on this thing. Everything I typed came back that there was no results. My hometown, schools, heck the word "Dog". . . not impressed

Meh, the only thing I thing I like over about it over google is the results page, and even then I wish there were more results per page. The most important part of the search engine, finding the site you are looking for just doesn't seem to work. For example if I search for the exact name of the website in my sig I get a bunch of places that link back to the site, but not the site itself. If I do the same thing in google it's the first result.

It's kinda neat looking but like someone said above, why wouldn't you just use Google?

I couldn't find myself under my real name or my primary handles. According to this, I don't exist. Now I'm not sure of the specifics, but I'm pretty sure you can't charge non-entities with crimes.

BBL, robbing a bank.

Typed in "Intel E8500 retail" and got zero results. No wonder they no longer work for Google. If that's they best they can do I would fire them.

a few results for Halliburton
no results for Schlumberger, their rival and industry leader, with 3x in market cap

I don't like it at all. Search doesn't seem to return good results. The results look more like a page of ads than search results, and make things hard to find.

this
read about it this morning on cnn. didnt try it then, but after trying it now, i'll stick with google
