New Seagate sixth generation U drive

According to xbitlabs, the "U Series is the best-performing drive in its class. "

Would this class include the 60gxp's?

I wouldn't think so because I looked up the stats of the Seagate drive, and it is only 5400 rpm, as opposed to 7200.

The Seagate drive can transmit at 54.5 mb/s, but is that sustained, or just a burst of data. The 60gxp can transmit at 40gb/s(sustained) I think
.

Well, my Seagate IDe drive has been going strong for a long time now. It feels like a godsend compared to this 45gb 75gxp of mine. I'm afraid to stick anything important on that drive period for fear that it'll break down (already had one go. this is the replacement).

Here's another good recommendation for Seagate IDE. They did have some problems with their first Medalist Pro Series, but their Cuda series of IDE are very good.
