No, the resolution was 1280x1024. However, I found that if you "check" the play in window box. It makes it widescreen.


Here are some more screens. You can see the difference when the "play in window" box is checked.

I found a patcher a while back that allows you to run AoE at resolutions higher than 1280x. It works for widescreen resolutions as well. It worked great for me.
