This is great news. Of course just as an eye opener and to cause people to think. I hate affirmative action and maintaining race quotas at workplaces where they purposely hire other groups of people. Stupid bullsh!t needs to change. If people can't get ahead on their intelligence then that is their fault.

now when can we expect the White Entertainment Television (WET) channel ?

Whites have been getting whites only scholarships for a long time. BTW, here is a scholarship for Albanian Americans.

 
Bout time... even though it's not right, it will finally throw somehting in the face of the NAACP and UNCF.

This is a whites only scholarship for Polish Americans.

Where does it say whites only? There are black Polish people.

Ok, if you don't accept that there are black polish people, or very little, then there aren't white-only scholarships, or very little.
 
I think this is wrong, just as I think that black only (or asian only, mexican only, etc.) scholarships are wrong.

While this might prove a point, it is a step in the wrong direction not the right one. I don't advocate making a bunch of white only scholarships... I advocate getting rid of all "race" related scholarships.
 
One of the earlier posters has already made my point for me, but I'll go ahead and say it again anyways. The majority of scholarships come from private organizations. If that organization wants to make their scholarship eligible to only a select group of people, then it's no one's business but their own. Affirmative action is one thing, but minority-based scholarships are another. Hell, if I were say a successful black or hispanic college graduate that had come from an underpriveledged background, I'd want to help people like myself coming from those same surroundings. And while I would rather base the award on merit and/or financial need, I definitely don't hold it against any group that wants to reach out to a particular segment of our society.

Probably never, since the content there would appeal to people of other races. Do you think only white people watch Friends?

Unless you want it to have white nationalist type stuff, which I don't think would even float with whites.
 
if i was black or hispanic, I could have won like 10k in scholarships (well, maybe, but you get the idea)

You're right. I've seen plenty of German-American or Irish-American scholarships....but some people don't want to acknowledge it or talk about them.
