I just bought a new rig - Optiplex 960, quad-core 3.0 Ghz, 8 GB RAM :D

I just installed CentOS on it, whats the best DC project? I should be able to provide a bit of a boost, whoever pays me the most - j/k :p

I like World Community Grid - lots of projects, something for everyone, and it runs via BOINC, so stability is rock-solid.

I must agree with WCG. The team is also near 10mil, so almost to a pretty big milestone! :)

Yes another vote for worldcommunitygrid, it's probably the most stable project and professionally managed. There are many interesting subprojects which you can select individually if you don't want to run them all at once.

I agree too (but that is probably very much expected because I am the TeAm-captain for TeAm Anandtech in World Community Grid).
If you join the WCG please choose to crunch for the TeAm too. It costs you nothing in effort but may help us to climb in the ranks and thus to attract even more crunchers ...

Very welcome to WCG and the TeAm! :)

I decided to run SETI@Home, and upon running, I received this error:

./boincmgr: error while loading shared libraries: libXcomposite.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Where can I get this library file from? Thanks.
