I am considering a new computer purchase, I would like to stay around $1100 or so and still get the best video card i can get. I am going to go with the DFI ultra D board cause I would like to play around with overclocking, not a huge overclock it will be on air cooling only. I am wondering if I go with some OCZ value VX I can get the same performance from that then with some OCZ Gold VX.

Do you have all the parts you want in mind? or would you like me to create a list for you?

No I don't want you to create a list for me, and the parts are not really relavant to the question I asked. I listed the board I will be using and the two choices of memory I am considering, that should be sufficient info. I really don't see how the monitor, keyboard, mouse, or speakers has anything to do with it at all.

i was just wondering if you needed help picking out all of your components. anyway the OCZ value would be fine for overclocking. All you would need to do is run a divider, which wouldnt be much of a performance hit at all. look at the memory threads in our overclocking forum.

Thanks very much, I will be putting all my parts on here soon for evaluation or a general bashing....lol
