I don?t think my computer is running up to its potential. I just built it yesterday. I have an
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
AMD Athlon64 3500+
EVGA nVidia 6800GT
1GB Corsair Dual Channel PC3200 DDR400
400W power supply

I just have the stock fans running. My CPU temps have been at 44c and the gfx card has been running around 61c. I installed all the latest drivers for everything. I ran 3dmark05 and the best I got was 3900. And for 3dmark2003 I got 10900. Nothin is overclocked. Here is my benchmark link:
http://service.futuremark.com/...2&projectId=134668
Benchmark results
What is interesting though is that my cpu marks are pretty good, but my 3dmarks is not that good.
When I compare to other peoples of the exact same specs, they just blow me away. I have no clue why its not working up to par. thanks

Definately not it's full potential... There's hundreds of things that could make it not though...

I only get 3830, and I can't reference your links, as I don;t have an account at futuremark, and I don;t intend to. I think you are fine. Don't believe everything you see on futuremark. Thats why I won;t get an account. And I only get 10 and change on the 03 also.

dunno why you are complaining..

but first, you aren't posting the correct url (your posting your project detail links, which only you can access, rather than the compare url).

secondly, with 6177 driver you're going to score much lower. for instance, mine w/ 6177 is spot on with yours:

3DMark Score 4024 3DMarks
CPU Score 3981 CPUMarks

Hi, maybe you'd want to try this, as it worked for me.

I have a A64 S754 3200+ Newcastle and a Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb at stock speeds and cooling. I know its not spectacular hardware that I have, but still getting a score in the 1300 ranges with 3DMark05 is still very very pathetic. Tried almost everything but still no avail. Finally, I opened up my side panel and turned my room fan on it, what do you know, my 3DMark05 scores jumped up to 2300+ and it should go to 2500+ when i get proper cooling for my rig. So maybe its a heat issue..let us know if that helps!

i have a 3500+ overclocked to 2415Mhz with Crucial Ballistix ram and nvidia 6800 and my 3dmark03 cpu score is only 1086 CPUMarks. my overall score is 9091 3dmarks. that definitely seems low for this fast processor and ram and vid card. anyone compare and see whats wrong?

ck the title. he is running 3dm05, not 3dm03..... so it's not particularly relevant to this thread.

regardless, on your 03 results, the cpu marks seems normal (yours should be a bit higher as it sounds as if you have the 1mb l2 cache compared to my 512k), however your overall looks a little low.. tho perhaps not if you have a vanilla 6800.
