New rig, fan spins but no boot

I'm not sure what seems to be the problem. Checked all power plugs and it seems to be fine. When I press the power button the fan spins up for a second and then stop. I do get a green LED light on the motherboard. What could cause this?

It happened to me once. I had the PWR SW wire from case to mobo reversed. Quick start guide and manual were opposite directions.
That was my case, at least.

Have you tried resetting the bios?

Yes I cleared the CMOS, still the same problem
However, I did have to take out the old 0502 BIOS chip and install the new chip that ASUS provide. I don't think I made a mistake in swapping the chip as I made sure there was a click sound when I inserted the new BIOS chip in.

Problem solved. Thank you everybody for the input. The problem was that I placed the 6 pin PCI-E power cord on the wrong socket in the Strider. Now is up and running. Thanks.
