Please just look at this and give a little imput even though you don't want to. I am building a machine for occasional gaming and for work on <$600 budget. I already have a AMD athlon 3000+ proccessor, a dvd-rw and cd, and a sufficient PSU. I don't want to go over this price, but if I can get more bang for the buck, please inform of what bangage is neccessary.

The sound card is probably a waste of time, you have onboard with that system don't you?

Perhaps save money and only get 1GB of RAM for now, otherwise looks fine to me.

Why s754 motherboard? I'll suggest earn more money and ready to buy Conroe or AM2 in the summer. It's worth a wait for one month or so.. :)

Just like BTL said, there is onboard sound. Actually it would probably be better than that soundcard because it has more output channels and would probably be more supported. I can't say I've ever heard of PPA Int'l. save $16.

Why do you have 2 zalman VF700 GPU coolers and only 1 vid card to go with them?

The only reason I added a sound card was because I read that the onboard audio has some problems. For example, I read that the mic input doesn't work real well, and there is sometimes a humming from the speakers. I was hoping that cheapo PPD int. card would do the trick because the one guy on newwgg said that it is alright.

Do you think I am better only buying 1 GB ram? I thought 2 gigs would make everything much more smooth.

I can't wait any longer to buy an AM2, but I wish I could.
