Hey,

I ordered 2 74gig Raptors this week, got them last night.

One plugs in and works great, the other when plugged in doesn't show, and even stops the boot process.....

Any reason this would occur? I've tried this drive on two machines now...and nothing...

I experienced the same problem with two Seagate drives. Most likely the drive has failed. You could also need to flash your bios to the most recent version. The problem I had was with an IDE drive but drive failures are common to all forms of drives. Contact the people you ordered it from and get it replaced.

Did you try testing it on another IDE channel? How about testing the drive in another computer?
