Well I read a review or 2 on the new Raptor 10,000RPM hard drive(150GB version). It definetely is faster than the older 74GB version by maybe 10-15%(game loading times-most concerned with).

What would be the best "bang for buck" out of these 2 drives? I think 74GB would be big enough for me so the extra space of the 150GB version doesn't sway me a lot. But the extra speed is tempting me to splurge on the new model.

Would I even notice the difference? Both are going to be a lot faster than the PATA100(7200 RPM) Seagate drives that I have now. What would YOU buy?

Edit- 150GB version=$290
74GB version=$155

seeing how you have a slow drive right now, you most likely won't notice the difference between the 74 and 150 gig versions.

seeing as how i just got the 74gb, id go with that :p

but even before i got this, i still didnt think that, at least right now at its current price, that the 150gb was worth the extra premium
