I installed the new 3.2 drivers for my 8500le and now my computer wont even start -
I get the initial bios page and then I get a screen that says
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
Check to see you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapter. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS Updates. Disable Bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode

So I think that I need to disable the above drive but when I try to access safe mode I keep getting the same message that Is above -
I need advice
Thank You

gooseman--He can't even boot to safemode.

Do you have a different video card or onboard video that you could try? What OS is it?

Well that is the thing
It wont let me get into safe mode to uninstall the driver -
When I try to get into safe mode I get taken back to the screen telling me about the driver error

I have windows xp
I should be receiving a pny ti4200 in the next few days
I thinking of trying to use that but I think I would still have the same problem because the bad drivers would still be installed and I cant uninstall them
I have an ecs k7s5a and I am pretty sure it does not have onboard video

Undo any overclock, set multi and FSB to defaults. Make sure your video card setting is "AGP" and not PCI; Disable fastwrites, 8X AGP or any other BIOS controlled card features. Try booting again, if it gives you the error, you'll probably have to do a repair installaton on Windows or if you have another video card (PCI), you can use it to boot up and delete the drivers. Then set the display to "standard VGA" and try again with your 8500.

Hi
Thank You to all who gave advice - I think my immediate crisis is adverted which is good as I depend on my computer for my livelihood so I am very grateful 🙂
I was about to give up and wait for a new video card when I started trying things in the BIOS
I went to the PCI/Plug and play setup and disable the "Allocate IRQ to PCI VGA"
This allowed me to get into safe mode and thus disable the faulty driver
Now does anyone know why this worked?
I am curious
