And, . . . they are not Microsoft certified, and are only necessary if you have the specific silly game cited by Ati.

Actually, if you look at the Dell drivers thread, you'll see they fix more than just those "silly games" for 9700 users. And who care about Microsoft certification anyways? But thanks for stopping by... ;)

i cant even break the 1K/s barrier and i usually get 800 K/s to ATI's site :(

are you d/l'ing 9700 or 8500 drivers?

I DL'ed the 9700 drivers. Instead of going through the above link, I went to the ATi home page and used their "Select Driver" link.

So that's why it kept freezing at that level,:| I was going crazy trying to get it not to freeze.

I saved often & finaly finished that part of the game & all was fine after,but boy was I pissed off at the time.:disgust:

I am getting 135KB/sec from the 6193 ATI driver URL. Everyone please wait till I am finished before hammering it again. ;)

I got yet another friend to click on that link, and it's blank for him too. He's even on a different network. Dunno.
