New Radeon 7062 drivers about to be leaked

They're good! Gained some speed here, not sure about other fixes because I didn't have any problems but early reports are they fix some issues for some people.

ok..

Quake 3 1.17, demo001, 1024x768 resolution, maxed settings, cg_drawgun 0

ATI Radeon OpenGl settings,

convert 32 bit textures to 16 bit - off
enable page flipping on
disable dithering when alpha blending - off
enable ktx buffer region extension - on
force 16 bit zbuffer - off
wait for vertical sync - off
enable texture compression - on

full scene anti-aliasing disabled
anisotropic texture filtering - highest quality

Anyone have any before and after on Q3 ver 1.27? I have Team Arena which forces a Q3 upgrade to 1.27. I see no change in framerates on Q3 demo127 and TA mpdemo1.

I wish they would release some fricking decent Win2k drivers!!!!!!!! I'm sitting here stuck with a TnT2. I don't want to get a GeForce anything, but the Radeon's Win2k drivers stink, and 3dfx is out of business!!!

I know what you mean, MG....I will not order a Radeon until new Win 2000 drivers are released (assuming they bring performance up to Win 9.x levels). With the NT kernel being the future for OS's, I hope ATI recognizes that Win 2000 performance is vital for the future.

Thanks for the link audrey. I'm going to download the drivers in case I go for the Radeon. I just wish that some sites did reviews on driver updates. Most of them do a review when the card is released, will say it has driver issues and then will never say whether or not they have been corrected. I just wish I had more options. I'm tired of Nvidia.
