It look's a little fat in the belly area or is it just baby fat?.

what happened to her tail?
It has been "docked".

what's with people cutting off their tails? :(
We got her like that, it's a breeders thing. She is a purebreed dog and if I wanted to show her the standard is
"Preferred docked" (full 3/5th to 1-3 inch length), [shorter than Fox or JRT.] Tapered from root; Set medium, following natural line of the croup. Carried slightly elevated horizontal, to almost erect when excited. Tail carried over the back, or too low; or left full or too long, may be penalized, if distracts from the overall natural line of the Terrier when presented in the ring.
Faults: Crooked, knobby, crank, squirrel or ringtails.

do both your dogs get along well together? unfortunately, our dog does not get along well with other dogs (half shephard, siberian husky).

My sister has a half pit mix. The tail is not docked and looks kinda weird. However, the ears were docked, and also look weird.

Yep, they get along together pretty good but the big one occasionally picks the puppy up by her back leg or, more distressingly, by the head and drags her around. They both seem to love it although we are all afraid of hearing the "crunch" of over-enthusiasm. :p

That's a cute dog. Don't let her get used to chewing on your hand or you'll regret it later. My cousin had a rat terrier and that thing was the devil. It barked at anybody for no reason and bit my uncle a few times. I swear that friggin thing was psycho. She'd be perfectly fine playing with me one minute and go all Cujo the next minute. I hope that's not the norm for rat terriers. Personally, I prefer big dogs. I think I would get a cat before a small dog.
