Here she is.
Maggie decided she'd nap on my keyboard while I nef.
She belongs to my daughter, but she needed some company while my daughter was sweeping the floor.
She's a chocolate lab, and she's a little cutie. :)

You know how you're doting on her cuteness & lovable looks right now?

Well, try to hold onto those same thoughts after she chews up your very most favorite good shoes, & stains your carpet.

How old is your daughter? Did you guilt trip her into chores because you got her a dog?

Not gonna happen.
This house is like Soviet Russia, only with dual dictatorship.
We have 3 dogs, 4 cats (although one is on the lamb), two fish tanks, a mouse, a dwarf hamster, a goose, about 20 ducks, 15 guineas, and a hundred or so chickens.
Nobody eats anything, and nobody shyts in my house. Evar.
There's no "shytting in the house" option available.
We have a large concrete kennel, a covered back porch, flight pens, chicken coops, and a number of portable kennels.
The animals go where animals belong.
They don't get on my furniture, and they don't get in my bed, and they don't get to fvck with my shoes. :)

Nah, she's a good kid. She likes to clean the house and does a good job of it.
She's actually my step-daughter, and her Dad got the pup. It's supposed to end up being her Grandma's dog, but no one wants to do the deed of house breaking her and turning her into a good dog.
She's 14 and has never displayed an ounce of nurturing instinct. We relented and gave her a chance to do the puppy thing, figuring she'd give up in about three days.
She's had the pup for a little over a week and she's done an absolutely fabulous job taking care of her.
We're very pleasantly surprised. :)

i would like to point out the imbalanced ratio of guys to girls in this thread...it's almost even

that being said, is she a lab.
Will you be keeping her in the house? I think you got off lucky with her being so relaxed around you guys. Ever since my lab was a pup, all she could do was run around and play and wag her tail all the time.

Enjoy ;)
