New puppy for me Friday-suggest a name

Ill gladly hand my man card in for this puppy were getting. We (parents and I) are getting a purebread AKC certified German bloodline German Shepherd

I hope so to, the last dog we had was ran over by a truck (before we addopted her) and screwed up her neck for the rest of her life.

I believe that is what the OFA at the end of the name means. That their hips have been examined and certified as not dysplastic.

Also it looks to me as if puppy #2 is skittish and may have temperment issues. Notice how it is the only one frightened and trying to run away.

Ours is 4 years old, we got her almost as a newborn. Fantastic dog, but I'll warn you now, German Shephards are work. They have a ton of energy. This isn't a news flash to us that own them, but you need to be aware of that.

Well the way these breaders describe how the dog's attitudes might be in the future is simple. They do some tests and apparently 1 & 3 are given the number 2, meaning they are good hunter, farmer, police, trainer, ect and are good with professional authority. Puppy 2 was given 3 which means the dog is more laid back and would be a companion dog, more of a dog for my family.

glad you took that red thing off his neck. nothing should be put around an animals neck that doesnt either have pull leeway or breakaway.

did you decide on a name yet?

i had a shepard while growning up. her name was ginger.

but i like jujufish's suggestion... Maxd is an excellent name for a german shepard.
