Did you over clock and how are your temps? Check to make sure your fans are working too.

No overclock and fans work. The side is open atm, and the fans spin for 5 seconds. Then they turn off along with the rest of the computer.

That sounds like a power supply problem. If it were the motherboard, I doubt the computer would even post.

What do you have for spare parts? Do you happen to have a spare socket 939 cpu by any chance?

Also try removing a stick of ram and then try starting the pc. If it does'nt work remove that stick and put in just the other 512 stick.
