Buying a new SuperLanboy and i need a PSU to go with it. Whats the best company to go with?

i would like to spend less than $90-$100 and want more than a 400 watt psu

i would like this fan to have 2 fans, but one 120mm fan is alright too

the antec true 550 from newegg.com, i believe its about 110. Its very nice! Can't go wrong with Antec, great support, and dependable products, no problems.

It all depends on what you want to run on it. What the rest of your system?

Enermax Noisetaker 485W. 18A on two 12V rails, only 108 at the egg. The Antec seems a little bit weak on the 12V rail. In the future, you'll need that 36 Amps, and the ANtec only has 24. But either are good PSUs, and the Antec does deliver much higher wattage. I'd reccomend the Enermax, though.

Well what is this computer going to be like. If you want quiet i would get the Seasonic SUper Tornado. If you want LOTS of power get a PCP&C. If you want 90% of the power of the PCP&C and keep a relatively quiet system then get an OCZ.

rest of system is:

Intel 2.8B (being replaced by a A64 3000+ within the month)
865G Mobo (being replaced by a MSI neo2 platinum within the month)
Crucial Ballstix pc3200 (2x512)
eVga 6800nu
Maxtor 80GB HDD
2 optical Drives

btw, noise doesnt matter, i dont want/need a whisper queit PSU in my case, airflow is more important to me.

It's not 36A, it's 32A shared between both rails. The 18A rating on the +12V rails is the max. amount of amps allowed per rail.

Don't get the X-Connect.

I'm looking at that Enermax 485W Noisetaker myself, or for slightly less...

This one has 28A on the 12V rail, pretty solid ratings, and has 3 fans, and kinda low price.

Was also thinking about this one, but heard it has some bad fluctuations...

X-Connect has not been getting good reviews for stability. If your looking for a modular PSU, the Antec Neo power V2.0 is worth looking at. It would meet your power demands with lots of headroom.

Edit for Neo link.

Well the Ultra is not bad but has some glaring flaws. However it has some nice plus's. One being out of the 3 it is the ONLY that is completely modular.

I would say that the OCZ>Antec>Ultra in this case. None of them are bad by any means but power, stability etc... put it in the order i said.
