New PSU, won't go past mem check (solved)

I just replaced my old 300w power supply with a new Seasonic 300w. It turned on fine, but all it does is the memory check (which is correct). After that it just sits at that screen. I can't even got into the BIOS. The keyboard works though, as I can turn numlock on and off. I tried reseating the memory, but that didn't help. I even plugged in my old PSU to the MB and still couldn't get into the bios (sits at mem screen). I assume I killed something *sigh*. Any help?

Here is my hardware, it's old:
Abit KT7-RAID*
AMD Tbird 1ghz*
Seagate 80gb*
CDRW, DVD**
Geforce 3, ethernet, etc.

*devices plugged into the PSU, plus 1 fan

reseat your devices on your motherboard such as ram, video card, pci devices, etc and make sure all are firmly in place.

I tried reseating the memory again, tried using each stick individually and in different slots. Mem check always works fine, it just won't go past there and I still can't get into the BIOS.

well if it stops after the mem check it might be trying to find ide devices that are masters and slaves. do you have your hard drives plugged into the motherboard as you did before swapping out the psu?

Yes, the only thing I unplugged was the HD and that was just re-route the cable. I tried plugging it into the other RAID slot, but no go. The MB has to go through the normal IDE check before getting to the RAID controller anyway and it doesn't even do that.

I've seen this a few times when the IDE settings (master/slave/CS) are screwed up. If anything is set to cable select, try using the actual master/slave settings instead.

Well I'm not sure how they're set, but since I have 2 IDE slots and 2 RAID slots, none of them share a cable. I unplugged both the DVD and CD, leaving only the HD, still no go. I unplugged the computer and took out the battery for 30 minutes, ditto. This really sucks.

Update: I just noticed something weird. I said my numlock works after it "locks up," but if I press numlock too fast then it locks too. If I press it slowly I can press it as many times as I want, but quickly and after twice it just stops. I dunno what is going on, but it's looking more and more like a bad motherboard. Unfortunately I don't have another keyboard to try, but even without a keyboard it stops at the same place. I also tried without the HD, no go.

Mouse is USB and keyboard is correct. I tested the keyboard on another computer and it works fine.

Another update: I removed all the cards except video and reset the CMOS by switching the proper jumper. I can't think of anything else to do, this thing is dead.

Someone on the ABIT forum figured it out.

Get ready...

I didn't plug in my zip drive. Yes, that is the root of my problems. Since I never use it I didn't bother plugging it in again and didn't even think about it the whole time. Apparently having something plugged into the IDE bus without powering it is bad. Lesson learned. Thanks for all your suggestions.
