First my system specs

400W Jeantech PSU

K8t Neo Mobo with AMD 64 3000+
2 Hard drives
2 CD/DVD drives
1024 DDR 400Mhz ram
Geforce 6800 Ultra 256 MB


Anywho when i play any game on 1600x1200 (on my crap dell 21" monitor)

it often freezes up usually with looping sound and i have to manually shut down.

I turned down my graphics so that it was 1280x1024. Now it does a lot less often.

So do i need a new psu? and if so...anyone have one in the UK/Ireland for sale? Or willing to ship to UK/Ireland.
 
yeah ive never heard of jeantech, try atleast an antec true 480. and if you dont like your dell 21" monitor, ill take it off your hands 🙂

My comp does this occassionally.. Does this mean I need a new PSU too?
 
Personally, I would take the 550, if only because the 6800Ultra sucks up so much humping juice. I wouldn't be surprised if the 480 would be able to handle it.

The only way to be 100% sure would be to check out how much juice you've got running along the different rails, and compare it to how much juice the Antec would put out.
 
it does more than freeze it turns into a runny picture of it with lots of grey lines

with that many things on your computer though....you might need it.

You have a 43@ HDTV for your computer?????
