new ps3 = dualshock 3 in box?

I decided to jump on the sonystyle deal since i want a decent baseball game.....anyone know if the ps3 shipping from sony comes with the new controller?

I don't think so. I believe the PS3/MSG bundle will be the first ones that will include the DS3 controller.

on a second note, anyone think a sonystyle B&M will let me buy one without the physical card? I want it now

That's all I've seen too - the $499 80 GB with MGS4 in June is the only version Sony has said will have the DS3 so far. Speculation is they'll keep shipping the 40GB with a plain sixaxis for ahile to use up their stock.

I ordered my previous PS3 with the sonystyle deal....yes you will be able to get it immediately....

Sony emails you your card's info right away and that info and numbers are valid for one purchase only (till you get your real card). Make that one purchase a PS3 system....the card gets billed the full price of the PS3 system. Then the card having a $100 credit on it will have a balance of $100 less then the total cost. you have one full year to pay the card's balance.
