Did anybody try the new bios for the Fasttrak 100 RAID card? It is bios 2.00.0.24, posted 4/18/02. It must be used with new driver version 2.00.0.25, posted on the same date. BTW, I am using WinXP Pro.
Going by the instructions given before (on a prior bios update), you have to update the driver first before flashing the RAID card. Therefore, I did update the driver and that worked ok (it rebooted all the way back into windows completely without error). However, after flashing the bios, the system won't boot into windows again. I get a blue screen just after the Windows boot screen comes up. It was just like when I tried to install XP the first time with the old driver for Win2000 (that driver had a bad evian.sys file that doesn't work in XP). The error screen just says that windows encountered an error and that the system halted in order to prevent further damage (which was the same error with using the win2000 driver).
I got the system to work again with just flashing the old bios back.
Has anyone got this combo to work?
Thanks.
