I saw that first teaser yesterday. I can't wait for this; I fuckin love Ridley Scott and I bet this movie will be great as well.

Don't really agree with Charlize Theron being in the cast ... for one, she's hot (can't have hot women in a movie based in the 'aliens' universe *sips tea, adjusts monocle*) ... number two, everyone and their pet dog casts her in scifi-thriller/horror movies ... I mean she's a great actress and all, but this was supposed to be special, you know ... the first (quasi) alien movie since at least 'alien 3' that doesn't suck.

Odd post. What do you mean that you don't agree that Theron is in the cast? She's attractive therefor incapable of being in a movie? What?

She's always cast in sci-fi movies? What else other than Aeon Flux? BTW, I didn't watch that. Looked incredibly weak as the anime was pretty crazy/good.

You seriously think Alien 3 was good?

Well the trailer is pretty vague, but it's looking to be a proper dark sci-fi film similar to Alien. Fucking hell, it even has random crew in space suits investigating poorly lit alien (?) architecture. Alien is one of the greatest films ever... truly original and still takes a shit on most sci-fi films to date. The fact that it's dark in theme, its scifi, directed by Ridley Scott alone makes this an absolute much watch for me.

It's got other things going for it, writer, cast, huge budget, etc. I'm going to check this one out in theatres. Pearce and Theron are easily above their peers in terms of acting. Theron is not a successful actress just because she's fucking gorgeous, but because she's mad talented. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I wish they would just reset the franchise to post Aliens, ala Batman. Just start with Ripley, the girl and Hicks getting to Earth instead of that cheesy fucking prison planet bullshit. There were a few alternate scripts floating around the net that were considered. I believe they were loosely based on some Aliens comics or some shit?

CEO of Fox Entertainment Group, Thomas Rothman, called it "heartbreaking" adding that "for some early, early, early, early half-baked, half-assed test to leak, it's so unfair."[76] A promotional "teaser," to promote the release of first trailer, was made available on the iTunes Movie Trailers library. Thirty-one seconds long, the video featured commentary by Scott, as well as never-before-seen scenes from the film and its production, and was released on December 19.[77] The official teaser trailer for Prometheus will be revealed December 22.

Actually, the trailer that is to be released on iTunes tomorrow is leaked. I just can not find the thing. It could be said that not even a bay of pirates has it.

i think the original was shot on a laptop using a phone, this guy just cropped out the laptop.
