New project, need feedback

[The Godfather]

Anyways, started a little design/dev firm. Just wanted to see what you guys would think of the portfolio. The header was done using 3ds max + Photoshop and took about two weeks.

We tried to accomplish both usability and unique looks. I'm very proud of it, but wish to see what you guys have to say, since some of you have given me awesome feedback in the past.

I like it. I wish I had talent like that. Unfortunately I don't have an eye for this type of thing, so I can't offer any useful criticism.

Being a complete layman, looks cool, although the header is a little large. Kinda flies in the face when the site loads, and the firm's name is tiny and out of the way by comparison, didn't even notice it for a few seconds. I'm no marketing expert, but centering/enlarging/making the company name more visible would probably make the header more effective. Otherwise it's just "huh, cool picture, oh wait there's a site here..."

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I understand the header can be a little too much, which is why we placed an anchor for each page you visit so you can fly directly to the content without being distracted, and if you'd wish to see it again you would jump to top. The arrows/logo in the middle/ornaments/glass/ground are all 3dsmax.

Header is way way way too large. Just because something took a long time to do and is nice looking, doesn't mean it should be as large as possible for a header.

I think the site would look better if you put the header logo at the bottom of the page, making it a bit smaller. I think it looks much better like this

Thats what the anchor is for, which is why you are right.

VERY nice, well done. I've been trying to create my personal website design for about a year now and I haven't come up with anything nearly as good.
